The short version
One way: Storage Index is funded by BoxSpeed, the collect-and-store service run by the same family business. When BoxSpeed is the better answer for a small load and someone books it, that pays for the site.
What we never do
- No listing fees, ever. A directory that charges stores to appear is a brochure.
- No paid placement. Sorting is by distance or name, nothing else.
- No affiliate links to operators. A booking link that pays us would bend the rankings eventually.
- No selling your data. The only tracking is cookieless page analytics and which panel variant you saw.
What BoxSpeed gets
A clearly labelled panel on each page, placed where a unit is likely to be overkill, showing the local collection day. It is always marked "Our own service". Where the sums favour a unit, the calculator says so in plain text, because a comparison site that cannot admit that is not worth your trust, and we would rather keep the trust than the booking.
